Giant Pumpkin

Well hopefully it'll become a giant pumpkin.

But I'm just excited to see a tiny pumpkin at this point because I was starting to think that I wasn't going to have any.

Whew!

The pumpkin vines have taken over this corner of my garden and there's been tons of flowers but none have set fruit until now.

Thank you bees, better late than never.

i'm so jealous. something dug through the mound of dirt/compost that i had plnated pumpkin seeds and ate them all. do you think it's too late to plant them? i may have to grab a seedling from the nursery, if they have them. good luck with them.

My guess is that it's too late for seeds. But you might get lucky with a plant from the nursery.

Thanks for the luck. I just got back from a weekend away and saw that I have about ten tiny pumpkins growing now. I have to decide if I'm going to prune most of them off and try to grow a huge pumpkin or let them stay and grow a bunch of smaller ones.
