Michael Pollan at TED Video

Here's a video from the TED Conference (Technology, Entertainment, Design) of
Michael Pollan, author of The Omnivore’s Dilemma and In Defense of Food. This speech really made me stop and think. The idea that we could farm or raise animals on a piece of land and actually improve the land in the process is just awesome. More people need to start thinking like this.

The video is a little long but it's worth watching.

If you like what Michael Pollan has to say in this video, read "The Omnivore's Dilemma," which goes into much greater detail about Joel Salatin and his Polyface Farm, and other food-related subjects. It is a great and important book. He's not kidding about corn's plans for world domination either.

Yes, "The Omnivore's Dilemma" is waiting in my Amazon shopping cart right now. I've already read a few positive reviews and I'm looking forward to reading it.
