I'm going to show my complete ignorance of anything to do with flowers Anthony...Is this a dahlia? It certainly is beautiful.

Steven, I have no idea what it is either. :) It's a tiny little wild flower from my Dad's yard. It's probably one of those shake the seeds from a can type of flowers. I think everything looks great when it's super close up like that.

A Gardenweb member states that he too would like to find out what this is, as there is one almost front and centre in my perennial border. Its not from a shaker can of seeds, its a true perennial, now of I only had a name. If you know please email to tezalizard@hotmail.com. thanks

I too have one of these amazing plants in my perennial bed - almost front and centre, and have totally forgotten what it is called. I know that it's a perennial. Anyone out there know it's name. I would love to know for when admiring gardeners ask me.thanks

I think it's some kind of Centaurea but not sure what kind. Sorry.

Like Vishnu opening his eye and the world is formed.

    I think it's a Centaurea too.
